Sancoa Installs BST Pro Mark® Web Inspection System Number 10,000

BST Pro Mark® recently honored Sancoa International of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, where earlier this year a Super HandyScan® 2000 inspection system was installed. The system was the 10,000th web inspection system installed by BST Pro Mark® since the company began manufacturing in 1989.

During Label Expo 2002, a special award commemorating the 10,000th unit milestone was presented to Mr. Rick Weyermann, VP of Technology and Mr. James Torrico, Director of Engineering for Sancoa International of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.

BST Pro Mark® introduced the HandyScan® at Label Expo 1990, and followed that with it’s second generation product and the Super HandyScan® in 1992,. The product revolutionized the way in which web printing is inspected, by allowing real time viewing of print at normal press speed. By 1994 the company was building over 1,000 units a year. At the recently concluded Label Expo USA, BST Pro Mark® inspection systems were included on sixteen of seventeen printing presses on the floor - indicative of how strongly they have been accepted by the label market. The 10,000 + web inspection units are installed in over 70 countries around the world.

Today, BST Pro Mark® markets the HandyScan®, Super HandyScan® and PRO Scan® 2000 units - the companies fifth generation of web inspection systems, along with it’s new line of Premius® defect detection and print management systems. BST Pro Mark® also offers a broad range of process management tools, including web guiding, web cleaning, laser bar code verification and closed loop register control systems.
